Apple Pencil expands the versatility of iPad and opens up new creative possibilities. It’s sensitive to pressure and tilt so you can easily vary line weight, create subtle shading, and produce a wide range of artistic effects — all with pixel-perfect precision, so it’s as natural to use as a pencil.
Apple Pencil (1st generation) pairs and charges via Lightning.

Connection to my iPad is excellent, and battery lasts for a good amount of time!
I wanted it to do digital art. It works as intended with the sensitivity. I only wished that the pencil was lighter. I also received the charger for the pencil. So if I don’t carry the apple pencil cable at least my type c usb will do. (Well as long I have the convertable with me…)
The only downside is that I won’t be able to turn it off. So I’ll need to charge it once in a while so it doesn’t die off completly or lose its’ charge.
Best pen to ever buy seperately and worth the price as well i got this with my ipad ?? works perfectly no issues!
I use this Apple Pencil to take notes on my iPad in my college classes. The pencil can also convert scribble into handwriting if you want to type into a text box. Overall, a good pencil to have in general!
At first i was bummed that only the first generation pen was compatible with my first ipad ever! First apple product ever really…i love to draw and had used the bamboo product many years ago. Although the first gen pen did not have the extra features as the new one, WOW! As someone who has drawn for years, i am so impressed at the precision of the pen while drawing on the ipad. No regrets.
